Van Jones fights back tears: Result shows character matters

At last the results are there. Biden is the new president with 273 el. votes, could even have been  279 but there was no need to add more votes. There has been so many Trump aherents write in comments how they will again enjoy democrat teas. Now they cannot do it anymore.

But there are still almost  2 months before the change, we don't know what Trump will try to do.

It just continues aaarg!

I stopped watching again and they were saying  Biden 253 Trump 214. Only the silly Yahoo news writes Biden 264. What is wrong with them, suely someone would have noticed the mistake . I have not watched for a couple of hours, they said yesterday that the counting would be finished in two states this afternoon. But the numbers were still the same  at six. Trump was ahead in many states but counting has not stopped yet though he does his utmost to stop it with legal action. The courts will probably not agree.

I just can't take it anymore if Trump wins. I am so anxious. It has looked so good for Biden but things can change though a Finnish expert thinks it will be Biden.  But any time I go to look I fear. I'll have a peep now. Biden already has more votes than Obama had, Someone else also had 264.

Seems that some say 264 as they believe that Biden has already had  Arizona, 11 electoral votes. AP and Guardian  also believe that. It seems gracy to me as it seems that whoever gets 270 first is the winner  even if all the votes have not been counted yet.

Yes, he has Arizona and 264 . He's getting closer to Trump in Pennsylvania, the reason why Trump already hours ago wanted them to stop the counting.

ABC still does not accept Arizona, shows 253. Biden taking the lead in Pennsylvania and Ga, butt it is not very much.

Cenk Uygur from young Turks says It is Over! but he is the only one. Though it actually was over, only not officially.

Biden's popular vote is 4 100 100 more.

Senate is still 48 - 48. Democrats kept the House

CNN says Biden takes lead in Pennsylvania, but race isn't over. Lead also in Nevada, Georgia and Arizona.

Election night

I just could not watch the elections. It happened sometimes that I did not want to watch the finals of a ice hockey  game as I did not want to watch them  lose and then they won! and could no watch it anywhere. But now i did not want to know before the next day or something. On Wednesday I will go to the American church to play the piano and  I hope the results are then known. I would hate it to be another four years of the large family. But if they still will be there at least I will not watch videos of him. It is now  about 4 in the morning, so good night! We'll see what the day  brings.

Woke up and still would not look at the results but when I got to the church my friends where not there. I saw a Norwegian newspaper with the caption: Norwegians pray for President Trump to respect the result, which looked like Biden had already won but it only meant that Trump had claimed having won when the electoral numbers were only Biden 220, Trump 113, which did not comfort me very much. That was the situation still round 8 pm but suddenly I saw 224-113. Now at half past 9 NBC news says Biden 237, Trump 214. Trump wants recount in Michigan, if results turned, he would get 16 votes. Somewhere else is says Biden 248 ???

Giuliani and Eric are trying to come to Philadelphia to stop the counting. Some people were already trying to get to the room people are counting.

Now at 11 pm one channel on David Pacman's says Biden 253, Trump still 214. So why does not his numbers go up, he is leading in many states. I don't understand either when somebody gets to 270, do they stop counting? No, I  all votes must be counted. Now after 1 on 5 November he has 264 electoral votes, Nevada' votes might be released  this morning (in America), Norway after 4 pm I guess

CORONA IN OCTOBER 2020

I have been following the situation  on the WHO information page, that gives you the information  from all of the world's countries. I have been concentrating on Finland (my home country), Norway (where I now live)  France ( where  my friend Regine lives) , Australia (where my son and other relatives live). and USA (which has most cases and deaths in the world).

Most of the time Finland has had some more deaths than Norway and Norway has had more cases than Finland. 22.10 Finland had 2709 less cases than Norway, When I looked at Norway 3 November I was shocked, as Norway suddenly had 4985 more cases. That must be why we  are advised to wear masks in public transport. We should were them already when waiting at the stop.

Corona in Norway. Norway is red again.

 Sept 11, 2020

***Bergen became the new Corona capital of Norway on Wednesday, with a Corona-related death and a rash of Covid-19 infection, not least at the city’s main Haukeland University Hospital. City officials responded with strict new containment measures that were quickly branded as “a catastrophe” for the bar and restaurant business.

The new report of a Corona-related death, the first in several weeks, involved an elderly resident of a nursing home in Bergen, Domkirkehjemmet. It was the first death from Covid-19 in Bergen since May 13 and the first nationwide since August 20. The victim reportedly was infected with Covid-19 last week.

City officials, meanwhile, were already cracking down with new Corona containment measures. Private gatherings have been limited to just 10 people, down from 20, and public gatherings can only have a maximum of 50 participants, down from the state limit of 200. All employers in Bergen are being urged to reinstate home office provisions for all employees, to reduce the need for commuting. All bars and restaurants were ordered to maintain lists of all guests, to enable eventual infection tracking if needed, while everyone using public transportation was asked to use face masks. Health care institutions are restricting visitors again.

All new restrictions will be in force for at least the next 10 days. “We see that we now have the highest number of confirmed cases (of Covid-19 infection) since the pandemic began,” stated Beate Husa, Bergen’s city government leader in charge of health issues, at a press conference Tuesday evening. City government leader Roger Valhammer stressed that Bergen “is now in a situation where we have to limit the spread of infection. We have to crack down on this outbreak.”

‘Terrible:’ By Wednesday morning, neighbouring communities were urging their residents to avoid going into Bergen, while bar and restaurant owners were in despair. “This is a catastrophe for the business,” complained Gard Haugland, who owns several restaurants in Bergen. “I don’t want to blame anybody, but this is terrible.” Bars have already been losing business after the state ordered all to stop serving at midnight.

Bergen’s Covid-19 outbreak has been traced mostly to large parties held by students returning to local colleges and universities for the fall semester. No charges have been filed against any party organizers, unlike in Sarpsborg in Southern Norway where city officials have reported organizers of a large religious celebration to police. All instruction at the University of Bergen and business school NHH, meanwhile, has reverted to digital platforms.

***With hundreds of new cases in the past two weeks, Norway has been re-classified as a “red country” for the first time in months. It’s recorded more than 20 new cases for every 100,000 residents, and that puts it off limits for traveling in or out without quarantine.

A major outbreak in Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad in the south (see below) plus a spike in the numbers of people testing positive for Covid-19 in Bergen is behind the overall rise in infection. It’s disappointing news for all those hoping that Corona restrictions would soon be eased.

The outbreaks in the south and west were said to be under control. At the same time, state health director Dr Bjørn Guldvog noted that people “should have good reasons for traveling to Bergen, given the increase in infection there. It’s not illegal, but everyone must be careful.”

Among the more serious cases were the confirmed infection of 10 employees working in seven divisions of Bergen’s Haukeland university hospital. Around 76 others have been put in quarantine and 42 new cases of Corona infection were report Tuesday afternoon. Bergen officials have responded by setting up a new crisis staff and restricting gatherings to no more than 10 people at a time.

***A major outbreak of the Corona virus in Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad is sending Norway’s overall infection rate up and left nearly 2,500 people in quarantine. Local officials were considering closing all schools in Sarpsborg. Local newspaper Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad reported that the teachers’ union and city officials are discussing closure of schools, with day care center leaders also worried. “We’re getting a lot of feedback from (day care) employees that everyone is afraid of getting sick on the job,” Stine Alsterberg Larsen, who represents day care center workers, told the paper.

The sheer numbers of those already sick are worrisome, with more than 200 confirmed cases of Covid-19 among both adults and children. There also have been major outbreaks in Bergen, involving several university students, with 78 new cases reported during the weeken. state broadcaster NRK reporting Monday morning that Norway’s infection rate is now going up just as neighbouring Sweden’s is going down.

***Norwegians seem to be completely ignoring warnings from state government officials not to organize or attend large parties. Police were once again busy throughout the weekend responding to complaints of noise and excessive drunkenness in residential neighbourhoods all over the country. Police broke up parties that involved up to 50 or more participants, reports news bureau NTB, since Corona containment regulations limit private gatherings to just 20. Violations were reported from Agder in the south to Sørreisa in the north, along with Ålesund, Molde and Bodø in between. Health Minister Bent Høie was clearly disappointed, and chided the partygoers by saying that “my advice is that you should be able to wake up on Sunday and think that you haven’t done anything you regret. If you have been at a party where it wasn’t possible to stay a meter apart, you should be extra careful when you meet others later, and get tested if you develop any virus symptoms.”

***Norway’s justice minister issued a stern warning to Norwegians to refrain from crossing the border to go shopping in areas of Sweden that recently have had a reduction in Corona infection levels. They’ve gone from “red” to “yellow,” meaning there won’t be any quarantine restrictions upon arrival back in Norway from early Saturday. “But there aren’t any ‘green’ areas,” Justice Minister Monica Mæland warned, where there’s no risk of Covid-19 infection. “To those of you thinking about driving over the border to shop, we still advise against any trips out of the country that aren’t strictly necessary.”

Lots of Norwegians crossed the border when restrictions were earlier eased in Swedish regions including Värmland in the southeast. Prices and taxes are so much lower in Sweden, and selection better, that many just couldn’t resist the temptation of stocking up on everything from beer to coffee and sweets. Covid-19 cases went up in Southern Norway afterwards, though, and now some health care employers in areas of Norway close to the border are declaring mandatory testing of any workers who’ve been to Sweden. They were also threatening on Friday to cut workers’ pay if they have to go into quarantine.

Most of the rest of Europe remains “red” on the Norwegian authorities’ map and thus requiring quarantine on arrival in Norway. Only Finland, the Baltic countries, Slovakia, Hungary and much of central- and northern Sweden are now yellow, plus some areas of Denmark.

***Health authorities extended their face mask recommendation when riding on public transport in Oslo for another week on Friday (Sept 4). The decision was made after the state public health institute FHI studied the public’s use of face masks. “Our conclusion is based on this study and other information we have, and we see no reason to change the recommendation we have made,” Frode Froland of FHI said at Friday’s government press conference on Corona issues. “We have advised the health ministry to maintain the face mask recommendation.”

The Disinformation Campaign Has Already Begun For The 2020 Election | De...

Brilliant analysis of the misinformation campaign.  I have almost the feeling that I should stop watching everything and only start watching when the election is over as it is going to be so ugly and unfair that  one  can only regret  America has got to that stage.

George Floyd

Video at Buffalo protest shows police pushing 75-year-old man, Gugino

Martin Gugino is an 75 years old man who was pushed in Buffalo by the the police when he walked up to  them. He fell and broke his skull, which hardly was meant neither by him or the police. He is now recovering but wil need lots of rehabitation.

Some people say that he went to the police to try  to return the helmet that was in his hand. Was it really a police helmet and not his own? Who on earth tries to return a helmet to people in riot gear, where would they put it? They are not the Lost and Found  dept.

Later someone said  he had in his lawsuit said that he was returning it. I have not been able to find anything about the lawsuit  but in an article  I  saw  a photo of him holding  "a helmet with a clear face”  that at least looks similar to a police helmet. He had earlier written that such a helmet would help both against the virus and being pummelled.

It is difficult to see what happens with the first policeman as Gugino's body partly covers what he does. Then the second cop gets closer  and it looks as if Gugino would show the phone to him. Showed the phone again towards the second one. Then pulls the phone down, points with it at him again twice, while looking down at the phone,  pulls it back. A third man coming closer to the first one from behind him, extending his hand behind him. The second one extends his right hand, pulls it back a bit, extends it again. Is he pushing or is he trying to grasp Gugino? His hand does not seem to touch G. yet. Cannot know if G.  is already falling as one cannot see his feet. Then he is clearly falling and the policeman shouts. His hand is close to G. when he is already falling, policeman still shouting. Because Gugino's body is in the way, you cannot see if he pushes or tries to grasp?  After some 5 seconds one can see just a small pool of blood, after 10-12 seconds it is at least three times larger, it looks quite dark. In the first instance you can see it is coming from his ear. Nothing is said of a scalp wound, they bleed a lot. I have fallen twice on my head inside and hit my head, there was so much blood from a fairly small wound that I had to cover it with a towel before getting to the doctor. I have fallen twice on my head backwards because of ice on the road, with a sound, and my  head did not  crack, no blood came out of my ear, and I was able to get up and catch a bus. I was then 79 years of age.

What did  the  President mean with "He fell harder than he was pushed"? I have only experienced falling on ice, and there the feet are swept from under you so quickly that  you are down before you even understand you are falling.

Many commentators naturally blame the cops not helping him. One at least tries to bend to see him better, but is stopped by another. One cop is using his radio, could be calling for help. Usually they just show the video where he falls and the police are standing but there is more video (CBC video) where you can see that people from the National Guard have arrived to tend to him in some 15 seconds and in 27 seconds you see the ambulance arrive. These are just estimates when I have tried to count seconds

All kinds os speculation is rife, it  would help if Gugino's attorney could tell us why he went and shoved  his phone close to the cops several times. They probably do not want us to know.

He probably used a Drive-By NFC Hack.

TYT calls him a national hero. One commentator under a Gugino video ( there are quite a number of them on YouTube) says that there was a Martin Gugino Twitter account that since has been deleted, with a tweet saying: "We have them scrambling won't be long now" &  night before "Fuck the police"

WBFO’s Mike Desmond was filming the whole thing.

Martin is a professional agitator, said one commentator, went there to cause trouble and get on video... he did a good job. Unfortunately that is close to the truth.

The police department has later said the cops were obeying orders. Those words of course have  an ominous sound as they are used of the  Nazis dealing with the Jews. In this case, not obeying orders by pushing him but  orders to not  stop the formation because the National Guard was tending to him in some 15 seconds and the ambulance arrived in some 27 seconds. I really find that commentators go overboard, talking as if no-one helped Gugino. One writes: "Those cops didn't just assault Martin. They assaulted you, me and all our brothers and sisters working tirelessly for justice."

"Not one of those cops stopped to give aid and comfort to the man. NOT ONE!" said another one"  Is this fair? People did come in 15 seconds. People just have to hate and they do not even try to see anything but their own agenda.

I made some question on one video and was attacked by one person:  ausfi he was an old man who’s probably facing a bit of senescence. And seriously! He deserved to be shoved like that for touching someone? Goodness you’re stupid. Sorry, had to be said

Then she continues: ausfi the entire thread is mostly people defending the actions of the officers involved and sentiments of the same. Stupid sentiments come from stupid people and if you even hint at defending this then you’re equally as stupid. Sorry

Well, she apologizes, but why do people not understand that I cannot really be offended by people I do not know. But she is wrong, most people in this and other videos are against the police, saying they are terrible for not stopping to help Gugino.

There is more to Gugino than what has been mentioned here.

There is already one bill for police reform but more is needed.

26. Jun.The House passes the Democratic-led police reform bill 236-181

‘Deeply Broken’: Chris Hayes On What Buffalo PD Video Shows About Cultur...

Today in the Rose Garden reporters were surprised to see that their chairs were closer together. When he spoke the president  claimed that the Covid-19 situation was so much better that even the reporters are sitting closer together. So he uses people for propaganda purposes. It was not the reporters who had set the chairs closer.
